Studied music at the UdK in Berlin, majoring in classical flute.
In addition she has been trained at the University as an actress, in vocal training, as well as a singer.

Maja Joel devotes her attention to various music styles including jazz.She has worked as an actress in film roles. She does voice over in television series, cartoons and children´s films.

Maja Joel has had engagements as a
back-up singer in soul and gospel concerts for
Queen Yahna, Jocelyn B. Smith and Martin Moss.

Her further studies took her to the Institute for New and Experimental Music in Darmstadt.

Maja Joel was a member of the Multi Media Show „Genetic Drugs Radio“(Winner of the German Rock Award, Berlin 1987)

She worked in the studio production as a flutist and singer for Reggie Moore (pianist and music arranger) and Andrew Ihring (guitarist and composer).

Maja has been a guest performer with the Jazz Ensemble „Cross-Continental Spirit“ under the direction of saxophonist, Ray Blue.

Maja Joel is initiator of numerous music projects which include international concerts.
